ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)

  • Multi-Disciplinary Team is a process that has been implemented to the district this year.

    • The Multidisciplinary Team includes instructional and behavioral school staff who meet to discuss attendance, learning, health, and/or behavioral difficulties your child may be experiencing. The MDT reviews existing data to create and use interventions within regular education classes to help the identified area(s) of concern.

Behavioral Health Service

  • Tier 3 School Behavioral Health (SBH) services are provided by either a school social worker or psychological counselor. Students are referred for services via the Multi-Disciplinary Team, administration, an IEP, or Section 504 team. Services may include, but not be limited to, individual/group counseling, case management support, parent training and support, teacher consultation and support, and participation on school and district-wide committees. These services are available to help students improve social, emotional, and learning skills.

Second Harvest Food Bank (BackPack Program)

  • This program is provided, free of charge, due to the partnership between your child’s school and Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA.

The program is dedicated to improving the lives of children in northwest Pennsylvania.  Each Friday your child will receive a free bag of nutritious, non-perishable food to be eaten over the weekend.  The food will be given to your child at the end of the day on Friday and before school breaks, and it is not intended to be opened until your child is home.
