PSAT, SAT and ACT Testing Information
With many colleges going test optional or test blind, it may be easy to dismiss these testing traditions as a relic of the past. However, the benefits of taking these tests are still many. We will break each test down for you.
THE PSAT
The PSAT is given every October to Sophomores and Juniors. Juniors, are eligible for National Merit Scholarship Qualification based on their scores. The test is free for students the first time they take it, and $20.00 if they are taking it again a second time.
PSAT registration deadline for the October 2023 test is August 1, 2023. Letters have been sent home with all Sophomores and Juniors. If interested in registering, please return the form to Mrs. Derby in the counseling office. The test is scheduled for October 4 and 5 at WAHS for all interested students.
SAT's and ACT's
