District Positive Happenings for the month of April

April has been a month filled with growth, creativity, and accomplishment across our schools. Students have continued to excel in academics, the arts, and athletics, earning recognition and demonstrating dedication, perseverance, and school pride.

Classrooms have been alive with hands-on learning and collaboration, as students engaged in meaningful experiences across a variety of subjects. From STEM and the arts to literacy and real-world applications, learners have been actively exploring, creating, and problem-solving in ways that bring their learning to life.

Our schools also embraced opportunities to build community and celebrate positive school culture. Through PBIS initiatives, special events, and collaborative activities, students strengthened connections with peers, staff, and community partners while being recognized for their positive contributions.

Beyond the classroom, students represented our district through performances, competitions, and athletic events, while others gained valuable real-world experience through career-focused programs and partnerships. These opportunities continue to prepare our students for success both in and beyond school.

We are also proud of the continued growth of our programs and the dedication of our staff in creating engaging, supportive learning environments that meet the diverse needs of all students.

Be sure to check out the attached document for highlights from each of our schools. We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, families, and community partners for making April another outstanding month across our district!

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the League of Women Voters to the Warren County Career Center, where they worked directly with our students to help them register to vote.
This is an incredible opportunity for our students to take an active role in their future. Learning about the importance of civic engagement and having a voice in our democracy is a powerful step toward becoming informed, responsible citizens.
The League also visits students at Warren Area High School and Eisenhower Middle High School, continuing this important work across our district.
We are grateful for this partnership and proud of our students for stepping up and getting involved. Every voice matters—and it’s inspiring to see the next generation ready to be heard.

REMINDER...

Pennsylvania schools must ensure compliance with mandated health services. These include:

Physical Examinations: Required for Kindergarten, 6th and 11th grades.
Dental Examinations: Required for 1st, 3rd and 7th grades.
If your student is currently in one of the grades listed above, please confirm that all health records are updated with your student's school nurse. Documentation of these exams and screenings is crucial for compliance with the PA Department of Health. If the documentation is not on file with the school nurse, your child will be seen by the provider when they are at the schools.

February has been filled with achievement, innovation, and compassion across our schools. Students earned recognition in academic competitions, showcased their talents at the regional and state levels, and were honored for their leadership and accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom.

Hands-on learning continued to thrive as students explored science and engineering concepts through engaging, real-world activities. From elementary classrooms to our secondary programs, learners applied critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in meaningful ways.

Our schools also focused on wellness, kindness, and positive school culture through a variety of PBIS celebrations, special events, and student rewards. These activities helped strengthen school spirit and highlighted the importance of making positive choices each day.

Beyond academics, students represented our district in athletic competitions and community-based programs, while others demonstrated generosity and care by organizing fundraisers to support one of our own. The compassion shown throughout the district truly reflects the strength of our school community.

We’re also proud of our staff members who continue to pursue professional growth and of the ongoing efforts to support advanced learning opportunities for our students.

Be sure to check out the attached document for highlights from each of our schools. We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, families, and community partners for making February another outstanding month across our district!
