The PAWSitive Support program was launched in July 2022 by the Office of Pupil Services to promote the social and emotional well-being of both students and staff. Through positive interactions and supportive engagement, the program helps create a calm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere throughout the school community.
Operating through a combination of district resources, donations, and fundraising efforts, the PAWSitive Support program relies on community generosity to expand opportunities that might not otherwise be possible. Donations and sponsorships help sustain and grow the program’s impact across schools.
Program Impact
The PAWSitive Support program provides meaningful support through daily school visits and hundreds of positive interactions. These include classroom visits, individual and group student contacts, as well as individual and group staff interactions.
These consistent connections help strengthen relationships, reduce stress, and create a supportive environment that promotes both learning and overall well-being.
Community Support
As of March 2026, the PAWSitive Support program’s operating costs total $8,201. The program’s success is made possible through generous donations from community partners, along with in-kind support such as pro bono veterinary care and donated grooming services.
These contributions help ensure the PAWSitive Support program can continue serving students and staff. Together, community support allows the program to keep making a meaningful and positive impact on the well-being of students and educators every day.
