FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

The FAFSA  is the MOST IMPORTANT application to complete for almost all types of financial aid. Many state, local, and private entities use the FAFSA to determine eligibility for grants and scholarships, all with different deadlines. It is available starting October 1 for the upcoming award year. Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1. Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to transfer student and parent tax information to the FAFSA.
