As we begin another season of athletics in the Warren County School District, we remind all spectators to act appropriately and respectfully at our events. Respect the Game. Abuse of coaches, officials, or players will NOT be tolerated. PIAA reminds us: “Actions meant to demean opponents, spectators, or officials are not in the highest ideals of education.” Let’s show respect and support our student athletes in the right way!

📚✏️ A new school year means new beginnings—and endless opportunities to build confidence with numbers!

Whether you're walking to school, packing lunches, or waiting in line, those everyday moments are the perfect time to sneak in a little math. It doesn’t have to be formal—just noticing, counting, asking questions, and playing simple games makes a big impact over time.

This year, let’s help kids see math not just as something they do at school, but something they use everywhere.

Welcome back—we’re excited for a year full of learning, laughter, and “a-ha!” moments! 💡💛

⏰📚 Back-to-school routines help set the tone for success—and peace of mind! As kids adjust to the start of a new school year, simple daily routines can go a long way in helping them feel secure, focused, and ready to learn. When children know what to expect, they’re more likely to stay calm, confident, and organized—both at school and at home. Routines: ✔️ Build a sense of stability and reduce anxiety ✔️ Help kids manage time and responsibilities ✔️ Free up brainpower for learning and problem-solving ✔️ Create space for important conversations, like “What did you learn in math today?” Whether it’s getting to bed on time, setting up a homework habit, or checking in about the day, these small actions help kids thrive. Let’s start strong and build a year full of growth, learning, and confidence! 💛📘

🍉🧮 Snack time = math time! Who knew snack time could be the perfect moment for building math skills? With just a plate of everyday snacks, kids can explore important ideas like fair sharing, comparing parts, and thinking about wholes and halves—all in a way that feels natural (and delicious!). This activity is a great way to model math talk in the moment: ask kids to explain their thinking as they divide snacks, adjust quantities, or serve others. Try introducing simple challenges like, “Can we split this evenly three ways?” or “What if we double the snack for more people?” It’s a fun, flexible way to keep math meaningful—even between meals! 🍉✂️
