Dear Eisenhower Community,

Important Notice for Parents & Guardians of Students in Grades 6, 8, 10, and 12

A letter was sent home today regarding the 2025 Pennsylvania Youth Survey (PAYS). Our school will be administering the survey on Tuesday, November 12th, during the school day.

The PAYS is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. The survey asks students about topics such as school climate, mental health, bullying, violence, and substance use.

Key Facts:

Participation is completely voluntary.

The survey is anonymous and confidential.

Students may skip any question they do not wish to answer.

The results help schools and community partners promote mental health and prevent substance use among youth.

Parents and caregivers have the right to opt their child out of participation.
If you do not want your child to take the survey, please submit a written request to:
Eisenhower Middle High School, Attention: Guidance Office.

You can review the survey questions here: https://epis.psu.edu/PAYS/question

More information and FAQs are available at www.pays.pa.gov

Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our schools safe, healthy, and drug-free.
If you have any questions, please contact us at (814) 757-8878.

Parent Teacher Conference

Dear Eisenhower Community, we have some very sad news to share. Ms. Carol Livingston, a beloved, long time Eisenhower English teacher, passed away Sunday, due to health complications. This is a difficult time for the Eisenhower community, and we know this news may be upsetting. Please remember to be supportive of one another and respectful as everyone processes this loss in their own way. If students are in need to talk with someone, we will have counselors and staff available throughout the day, Tuesday, October 28th at the Eisenhower campus. We ask that you keep Ms. Livingston’s family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts during this time.

💛 Thank You, Bus and Van Drivers! - Behind every safe trip is a dedicated driver!

As Bus Safety Month wraps up, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing WCSD bus and van drivers!
Each day, they safely transport almost 3,500 students across 792 square miles — logging nearly 1.8 million miles each year.

Their commitment keeps our students safe and learning on time. Take a moment this week to wave, smile, or say “thank you” to your driver!

🚨Stop for the Bus – It’s the Law - Drivers, your attention can save a life!

When a school bus stops, so should you. It’s not just courteous — it’s the law.
Here’s what to remember:
• Stop at least 10 feet away when red lights are flashing and the stop arm is out
• Stay stopped until the lights stop flashing and the arm retracts
• Be alert in school zones and neighborhoods

Every stop protects a student. Thank you for helping keep our roads safe!
