Kindergarten students are exploring the sense of smell, as they learn about their five senses. Yesterday students used salt shakers to add jello mix to each circle to smell the colors of the rainbow.

SAES Kindergarten students enjoyed finishing their unit on nursery rhymes by finding Little Bo Peep’s sheep and making non-scary edible spiders from Little Miss Muffet.

It’s back to school time and the Snell Family Foundation wants to help you get the supplies you may need for the upcoming school year.
This Friday, August 18th, we will be distributing back to school packs from our office in North Warren. If you are in need of school supplies for your student or your classroom, please email tessa@snellffi.com to secure your pack and to coordinate a pick up time! Please specify how many students you have that are in need of supplies.
Below is a list of supplies we have. Each pack will contain a variety of these items.

Please note - We will be offering these until supplies run out.

Snack for grades 3-5 on Thursday and K-2 on Friday
*Important Reminders: Money must be in an envelope labeled with student's first and last name and ID number and turned in to teacher in the morning.
*Snacks cannot be charged to a lunch account
*Beginning next week, snack will be available for purchase for grades K-2 on Wednesdays and Fridays and for grades 3-5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Please note the two most common issues guardians are having when accessing Rooms are:
1. Current email address does not match the email in our student information system.
2. You must be listed as a guardian in our student information system. Access does not go out to emergency contacts, only guardians.
If you are a guardain and have not received an email, please contact your child's school to update that information.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania ensures that all children with disabilities ages 3 years through 21 years residing in Pennsylvania have the right to a FAPE, including children with disabilities who have been suspended or expelled from school. The commonwealth shall make FAPE available to a child with a disability eligible under IDEA until the student turns 22. The 21st Century After School Program flyers and registration forms will be mailed out the week of Aug 21st. Printable online flyers and registration forms can be found on the WCSD web page under Menu/For Parents/Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers. The after-school program will begin on September 11, 2023.
Home Access Center and student schedules will be avialble for viewing on August 18th at 8:00 am for all schools. Login information is being mailed home this week if you have not already received it.
