December has been a wonderful month of celebration, creativity, and giving across our schools. Students have been shining in STEM competitions, earning recognition as Students of the Month, creating Christmas ornaments to showcase Warren County, and showing their school spirit through festive hallway decorations. We’ve also enjoyed meaningful learning experiences like author talks and celebrated athletic success with our teams across the district. December also brought exciting opportunities for learning beyond the classroom, as groups across the district partnered with local industries throughout the county to explore real-world applications of their learning.
In the spirit of the season, our school communities came together to support others through Thanksgiving food drives and generous donations to community partners. These moments reflect the kindness, teamwork, and dedication that make our district so special.
Be sure to check out the attached document for highlights from each of our schools. We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, and families for making December such a memorable month!

WJET-TV visited YEMS this morning to present Hannah Watson with the WJET-TV/ Penn West Edinboro, Golden Apple Award! We were able to keep the surprise a secret right up until the news team walked into her classroom. Mr. Weber, WCSD Superintendent joined us for the presentation, making the moment even more special. The recorded segment will air next Wednesday, December 17th at 6:00 PM on WJET-TV. Congratulations to Hannah on this well-deserved honor! We are incredibly proud of her dedication and the positive impact she makes every day.

Winter sports kick off this week. A new season of action begins!

Attention Parents:
This is a friendly reminder about morning student drop-offs. Please do not drop off students before 7:30 AM. Transfer buses are using the main entrance loop this year to transport high school students, and early drop-offs create safety and traffic concerns.
We kindly ask that you wait until 7:30 AM to bring your child to school.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support!

The annual Youngsville National Junior Honor Society food drive got a big surprise this year! Former Youngsville resident, David Koontz and family, made a donation to the National Junior Honor Society, making the food drive the most successful to date.
Thanks to the generosity of the Koontz family (which now live in Altoona) and the Youngsville Elementary students, staff, and teachers, 20 families in town received a spiral cut ham and all of the fixings that round out a traditional Thanksgiving dinner along with other snacks and breakfast items.
